CMI has developed a range of high performance flexible waveguide from WR137 to WR22. Each waveguide size can be supplied in either copper or nickel cobalt electroform.
CMI has supplied several hundred copper electroform flexible waveguides (FWC) for high power, very low PIM applications. FWCs can be hand formed and will maintain its bent shape.
Flanges are integral with the FWC to provide a single piece seamless construction. FWCs can be supplied with aluminum core flanges for mass reduction. FWCs can be supplied in a variety of internal and external plating.
Nickel Cobalt Electroformed Flexible Waveguides (FWN) can be an ideal solution when extreme flexibility is required. The FWN will return to its straight condition after being flexed. Flanges can be attached by soldering or integral with the FWN to provide a single piece seamless construction.
FWNs can be supplied with aluminum core flanges for lightweight. FWNs can be supplied in a variety of internal and external plating. Both FWC and FWN can be combined with rigid straight, bend, or twists to provide a seamless assembly and eliminate interconnecting flanges.
