CMI has developed a range of high performance Choke, Multi-Mode, and Corrugated Horns. Each Horn is precisely designed for optimum performance, size, and manufacturability. CMI has designs from 1 GHz to 1 THz for Choke and Multi-Mode Horns.
Corrugated horns are available from 3 GHz to 700 GHz. CMI also has Choke and Corrugated designs for Multi-Frequency Feeds. Depending on the application, these horns can be manufactured by direct machining or by copper electroforming.
CMI’s electroforming process is ideal when extremely high performance is required form the horn and is specially well suited for corrugated horn and high frequency horns. Surprisingly low mass can be achieved when mechanical stiffeners are used with the thin copper electroform.
CMI has built many low mass horns for space applications from X band to Ka Band.
