Our Fixed Shorts cover a frequency range of 18 to 325 GHz. Each short is electro-formed on a precision stainless steel mandrel creating a highly polished seamless cavity of known performance. This electro-formed cavity is then soldered into the appropriate flange and gold plated. Since each of these shorts are custom made, we can supply any length waveguide cavity required, up to 2 times the maximum wavelength in each waveguide size. These shorts are ideally suited as calibration components for Vector Network Analyzers.
Ordering Example: Please add the exact length of cavity required "B" as a suffix to the basic catalog number. FS28S-1255 is a Fixed Short in WR-28 waveguide, with a square flange, having a cavity .1255 inches deep.
